Terror Women's Hoops Team Posts Third Best GPA in Nation

The Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) announced its 2004-2005 Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll for NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, NAIA and Junior College/Community College. The awards recognize teams throughout the nation that have the highest grade point averages (GPA) for the 2004-05 season based upon nominations submitted by WBCA-member coaches.

Notably amongst the top 25 was the McDaniel College women's team, which placed third in Division III with a team Grade Point Average of 3.561. Only York College and Messiah finished ahead of McDaniel, the two-time defending Centennial Conference Champions. McDaniel's girls didn't take it easy in the classroom last season either. The 15 player, 2004-2005 roster featured a dual-major of Biology and Biochemistry, two additional Biology majors, two Mathematics majors, and a Chemistry major.
